Brief Bio:

Mahesh Chandra Mukkamala received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur in 2014. In 2015, he joined the M.Sc. program in Informatics at Saarland University and was also an IMPRS-CS Master’s student at Max Planck Institute for Informatics during his studies. From 2015 to 2018, he worked with the Machine Learning Group at Saarland University on various topics related to deep learning, convex optimization, and stochastic optimization. Later, under the supervision of Peter Ochs, he earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from University of Tübingen. He subsequently worked in industry for several years, focusing on supply chain optimization and artificial intelligence testing. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Mathematical Optimization for Data Science group led by Peter Ochs.
